1.1.2 firmware is coming soon…
November 4th, 2007…only to block the jailbreak hack (TIFF exploit). UK iPhones will have this new software pre-installed when it arrives on Friday. So, it seems new iPhone owners in the UK will have to downgrade their software if they want to do some real hacking.
This just adds on to the cat-and-mouse game Apple has been playing against with iPhone hackers lately, with the hackers mostly winning. No matter how hard Apple tries to patch something, the hackers respond with a new way to jailbreak. I’m getting tired of it.
This will hopefully come to an end when Apple finally releases a developer’s kit for making true iPhone applications.
