Current internet rumour and conjecture about Apple announcing the end of its exclusive iPhone deal with AT&T this week and paving the way for a Verizon iPhone 4G could be bad news for Palm. A story on CoolTechZone.com says that a Verizon iPhone 4G deal would mean that Palm would have a lot more competition for Verizon’s customers and marketing budget with iPhone and Android shaking things up in the mix. This, of course, is exactly what Palm doesn’t need at the present time, as ZDNET reported at the end of last year that Palm has had a hard time stirring up a lot of interest for the Pre and Pixi. CoolTechZone.com also points to rumours that Palm could be developing a GSM version of the Pre and Pixi for AT&T, but would that be a case of too little, too late?
