Amazon have announced that they will be launching a digital music store "later in 2007" which will offer "millions of songs, free of copy protection technology [DRM] that limits where consumers can play their music."

Unlike Apple they will also be offering the downloads in MP3 format, and will be compatible with both itunes and ipod.

This is obviously great news for consumers but with EMI being the only one to sell DRM free music just where are Amazon going to get these 'millions of songs' from
