Steve Jobs has announced plans for Apple to become a greener company, in a statement on the official web site he says:
By 2010, Apple may be recycling significantly more than either Dell or HP as a percentage of past sales weight. All the e-waste we collect in North America is processed in the U.S., and nothing is shipped overseas for disposal. Apple products are designed using high quality materials that are in high demand from recyclers. Good to know they're doing their bit for the environment. |

This is a very clever move by Apple, with the current media focus on global warming and the environment, offering environmentally sound PC's will be a huge future selling point.
It's also currently rumoured that apple plan to introduce LED-backlighted displays: Quote:
