I am simply in love with this new iPhone I got. it's my first smartphone ever.

Bluetooth is working great and I am able to make and take calls over Bluetooth just fine. Switching back and forth betwene the phone and bluetooth is very smooth and elegant compared to my old Motorola.

The problem is, the iphone will ot let me hear my voicemail through the headset. I can either hold the thing up to my ear, or select "speaker" to play my messages for everyone around me. The bluetooth is paired and regular calls default to it, but not my voicemail.

Is there something I can do. it seems silly that I should have to listen through the phone or speaker only when i have a perfectly good headset already hanging off my ear.

Thanks for any help!

Thanks. I know it works if you have a Jawbone headset. You are able to select it to hear your messages. It does not work with any other that I've tried. That and voice dialing are two things that keep me missing my old crappy Motorola phone.

No good for me. Too short of battery life, and too expensive. I use a Motorola H300 that takes a AAA battery, and the battery last for just about a week...then, when it dies it's a simple swap, not 6 hours on a charger.

I think there is no way of hearing voice mai through the headset. I tried the same thing but could not do that. Let me know if you can find some way. Good luck.
