Although I know the answers will be largely suppositional, I would be interested to hear from users who use both Mac and Microsoft products how easily you think the interface will be from the iphone to MS Outlook. I will be using this for business purposes and that is extremely important to me.

Thank you in advance for your time and input.

Well iTunes doesnt seem to have any problems syncing Outlook contacts and calendar info straight to the iPod so i dont see why the iphone would be any different.

The only concerns i have right now is Apples support for 3rd party app development.

Here's some older news on the subject:
Apple Not Ruling Out 3rd Party iPhone App Development
Microsoft: iPhone Is 'irrelevant'

It could prove a problem for business if Apple decide to close the device of to 3rd party tools

"It's a great music phone, and I'm sure it will be fantastic and have an interesting user interface, however, it's a closed device that you cannot install applications on, and there's no support for Office documents. If you're an enterprise and want to roll out line of business applications, it's just not an option. Even using it as a heavy messaging device will be a challenge".
