Dont get me wrong im really excited about the iphone and will most likely snap one up on the launchday, but im not so sure i'll be cancelling my current phone package right away...
I've been using mobile phones for years now and one thing has remained true from model to model over the years - they soon start looking like crap! My mobile goes with me everywhere including those drunken nights out in the city get dropped, drinks spilled on it the full works. At work i've lost count of the number of times i've dropped my damn phone then accidently kicked it half way across the room, luckily form me Nokia's are resilient little buggers and after a quick clean were working good as new. I can't help but think the Apple iPhone could be a long way from the Nokia powerhouse though. I mean 'touch screens' - ok awesome, but how practical for work if your job entails manual labour i cant be running off to wash my hands everytime i receive a call or need to make one. Hopefully Apple will proof me wrong and having not yet seen the iphone in the 'flesh' it's hard to tell, but i'd imagine like many others looking to purchase an iphone we wont be cancelling our current providers quite so soon. |

Yea i understand what you mean, not sure if you're part of the stereotypical market Apple is looking at tapping into though - no offence :P
For many cellphones are a big fashion statement, but i hear what you mean about actual practilness(sp?) of the iPhone. Might need a thick crust style case ![]() |
