First off, the tapping/typing in the ads looked a bit clumsy - but I would guess it's probably a bit faster - they do it that way to showoff the keypad and the 'cool factor.'

In other news:

Rumor: 3rd Party SDK for iPhone for WWDC

Edit: NYTimes Repeats Rumor of SDK at WWDC - Widgets for everyone!

Slashgear says that we may have no SIM slot, current revisions of software are missing iChat, Safari is :awesome:, there apparently is a VPN client (!!), and you deal with the phone via iTunes and iPhoto. (Does this mean there'll be an iPhoto for Windows? Not that I care too much, but...)
