Deleting Auto Insert Contacts

So I have two contacts that no longer exist but they still show up when I'm sending emails if I type the first letter of the email. I need to know how to delete them??

I have email setup with a gmail account. My cousin had an old email address which I had in my contacts on the iphone. She got married and closed her email account and setup a new on with her new last name, so I created a new contact and deleted the old one. However whenever I go into mail to compose a message if I type the letter both emails show up even though the old one was deleted from my contacts.

I let me cousin use my phone to send an email to one of his buddies. Now everytime I compose and email and type the first letter of his buddies email I get my contacts but my cousin's friend's email address shows up also. It wasn't saved in my contacts list anywhere.

How do I clear this auto list?

I tried removing the email and setting it up again, I've tried turning the email off for a day and turning it back on. I've looked at the account online to see if it's holding the contacts but the contacts don't show up there only on the phone.

have you tried re-snyc'ing it to your computer?

yep the info is only on the phone it's just like if you ever used outlook it keeps a list of all the contacts and shows the list if you type the first letter of the name.

hmm, i'm not sure then hopefully someone else can spot ya on this one.

I will have to look it up in the Manual for this one.

thanks man, yea I posted it over on apple and no one there knows either so I sent feedback to apple so maybe they will address it in future update.

... now that i think about it, when was the last time you cleaned your cache? try cleaning history, cache and all that good junk this might help, please let me know if it does.
