hey all, i appeared to have screwed up my phone.
i have the oldder modle of the iphone (not the 3g) it is unlocked and jailbroken. after installing an update the screen shows that it needs to be plugged into itunes and when i do it says that my sim card is not valid. i can only make emergency calls and cant get into the home screen menu. any help to solve this problem would be appreciated greatly. thanks. |

try restarting it, otherwise your jailbroke phone may really be broke.

What update did you install was it the update on itunes which overrides the unlocked and jailbroken state of the phone. If it is just find out what firmware you are now running and get the appropriated unlocking jailbreaking and activating software to redo unlocking etc. It sounds as though you have taken it back to the original firmware hence the itunes cable picture on the phone all is not lost it can be rectified. I hope you didn't have too much important stuff on there as if you have taken it back to the activation state you will have lost whatever stuff was on there. Hope this helps
