There's been so much hype riding behind the iPhone for so long now is there a danger than consumers are going to be greatly disappointed with the final version?

There's a very interesting article published in The Times online:

"Its buyers are all on hold ... but can the iPhone live up to expectations?"

Here's a worrying excerpt from the article:

He quoted an anonymous ‘industry source’ as telling him: “The keyboard is a disaster, and people are going to return the phone in droves. I’m guessing 20 per cent will go back.”

What do you guys make of this? Personally i find it hard to believe Apple would throw so much weight behind a crappy keyboard interface.
