Ebook Reader?

Has anybody heard of the possibility of the iPhone being used as an ebook reader? One of the most used programs on my Palm was the ebook reader software. With the iPhone's landscape view, it would make an excellent reader.

Just wondering if anyone had read/heard of anything.

Not yet, but I'm in the exact same boat as you. I definitely want this to happen. I'm expecting to have to convert all my books to PDF, honestly, but ...

I remember seeing that rumor on Engadget from last year Ireland. It would be great to see that on the iPhone!

I don't think we will see it on the iPhone Dan, I just have a feeling Apple will put this into the next iPod and leave the iPhone for communication mostly.

Well PDF's should be handled by the browser. Steve I believe even has said that it will support PDF.
