My friend who is in training to release the iPhone with AT&T told me this weeked that in December a new iPhone will be released, and will include more of the options that was hoped to be on the first version. He will be trained more this week and will be updating me with everything he knows. Has anyone else heard this information?

Not to be a naysayer (which I seem to be doing a *lot* lately) but I think this is doubtful. Maybe a major software upgrade in December, but...
There's no way in heck a low-level (i.e. not in the Jobs'ian circle) employee would know this. It'd be close-held. |

i know i didn't figure he would either, I am just going by what he said. Although I would't put it past Apple either because it will be very close to christmas time as well. who knows

That would tie in nicely with the proposed European release at the end of the year - hopefully we'll get a 2nd gen device

I dont know about europe but what I have heard is that the one in december will be 3G.
