2nd Generation iPhone

The sales guy at my local AT&T store told me to wait and buy the 2nd generation iPhone that comes out in September. I heard that this would only be for the European and Asian markets? Is the 2nd gen. for the United States really coming out in September? Should I really wait 'till then?

LIES!!! Maybe an update to the software but not a second one. This one took 2-3 years to make so there wouldnt be a second one this soon.

iPhone was designed so you don't need a new phone to get new features. All of that can be updated when they improve things.

Yea Alexander...Flawless!! Must be why my speakers craped out and have to get it replaced. 14 days strong and already a major hardware problem.. ver 1.crap for me so far...

BTW the 2nd gen phone they are talking about is a slimed down version of the phone. Meaning less features, less memory, and smaller design. Which is good since it also means lower price too. The word going around is it is called "iPhone Nano" (probably not the real name). This is not going to come out in September or probably a year. They JUST launched thier phone, so a new modle this close would be to soon. I agree ver 2.0 as an upgrade to fix Apples laundry list of problems. So many that it probably will ocme out in multiple updates. They still have to fix the virus problem...

I'm not sure about this, but I do know it is TTY compatible.

To be fair - no one ever said that 100% of all iPhones will be perfect. I'm sorry you are having a hardware issue - but it boggles the mind at all the hate and anger being thrown around when people do have problems.

No, you have a defective item. It happens - it happens in everything. Cars get recalled, Sony creates batteries that explode, and we get George W. Bush as president. All defectives.

Just realize that for every person who is screaming, there's probably 90 people who are quietly happy with their purchase. Yes, iPhone has issues - and that buglist was like 70 things "wrong" - 90% of which you will probably never notice unless you do certain things in a certain order.

The phone has been out 1 month and 1 day now. Give Apple a bit of time to get some fixes in place, otherwise all we'll hear is "OMG THIS CAUSES MORE PROBLEMS!!" (and nevermind that it fixes the originals.)

Quality takes time and is a process.

Remember this everyone... Apple has never put out a device like this. I think they did a great job on their first attempt.
