I want to buy and iphone and use my sister's upgrade (because she got a SYNC with my mom's upgrade). So if I do get it, will i have to activate it with her number then switch the sim cards, or can i just buy it and activate it with my line?

You would buy it an activate with your line... There are no special offers even if you're allowed to "upgrade" - Basically, you enter your information into iTunes when you're activating the phone, it'll have you agree to a new 2 year contract for your line and you'll be set.

Having a special upgrade price would've been nice... I get 50% off all new phones from Cingular/AT&T because my dad works for the USPS. They didn't count that in for the iPhone though...
