what type of iphone I am getting....

Hi, I plan on buying two iphones in the USA in May and bringing them back to Europe. Knowing virtually nothing about the technical aspects of iphone could someone help me answer this question. I'll be buying the iphones on the US East Coast in early May and giving them to a friend here who can hack or unlock them for use, whatever the correct term may be. Thanks in advance for any help the forum can offer me.

to unlock them it is a simple one click process using a program like iLiberty+ or iPlus or ziphone but check with the people at baby-iphone.com before you update to a new firmware but a new firmware shouldn't be out until june
