Won't Go into DFU Mode.

I have the 4GB phone that is on the 2.1 software version, itunes version 8. I've been trying to unlock it using QuickPmn with no luck at all. It appears that the phone will not go into DFU mode. I've tried a couple of different USB cables and all the USB ports. Any ideas?

When the phone is on hold down the power and home button for 10 seconds release the power button the screen goes black keep holding the home button for another 10 seconds and it should go into dfu mode. Check out this video http://www.iclarified.com/player/des...1034&meid=7242. Hope this helps

I'm having the same issue. Tried all method including software. Nothing seems to work. I've spent full weekend trying to dfu the phone. The phone only goes to recovery mode. Any suggestions??

Have you followed the video exactly the counting part is very important or it wont work. There are other instructions on utube just do a search on there to find the help you need.Have you tried putting it into dfu mode with the help of ziphone program. ? Good luck

Followed every single method to a 'T' with no success. Software method does not work either.

Are you also running the 2.1 software and have you got the itunes 8 running or 8.1.

I've downgraded to 2.0 with itunes 7.5. Still no luck. I also tried with 2.1 on itunes 8.

No luck! I give up. Will have to wait until a fix or someone finds a way to bypass this mode.
