Hi,

I'm trying to convert a program created on the mac using the BASS sound library over to the iPhone. One of the things I did in the original program was to use the BASS function BASS_GetData() which will retrieve FFT data from the current sound playing ( an .mp3 ).

Is this possible using the iPhone SDK? I can't seem to find anything that will retrieve the current audio data of a sound.

It's basically a visualizer that will use the sound data to adjust the graphical display based on detecting FFT spikes in certain ranges.
