I've released my first app for the iPhone.

PointAtMe let's you organize your webapps, widgets, and sites on the iPhone in a similar way as the built-in applications are organized.

Hi Hardy! Nice to hear from you again (I haven;t been around since the Newton days). What does this app do? The icons appear very small, is there a setting to make them bigger or to resize for the iPhone size screen?

Thanks for cont to develop software.

it is supposed to be an app launcher. I released it before I had iphone going on apple's premise that of it work in safari on desktop then it would work on iPhone...not quite true. I'll be tweaking of some more today and hopefully have it working, but when I made the 7 hour round trip yesterday I left my MacBook with the apple store folks to fix a few things with it which means I need to figure out how to do all the editing from a pc without theav tools I was using.

Okay, I've fixed the major issue with it so the icons appear at full size, so it is useable as a luncher now.

There seems to be a few bugs/"unimplemented features" in the version of Safari on the iPhone...(at least different than the beta releases on the desktop). I hope Apple releases an update for the iPhone Safari once they release the official 3.0 on the desktops.

Here's what's currnetly not working on the iPhone version that work on Mac/Win version of Safari.
  • Sometimes the buttons stop working. Turning off and on the phone fixes it.
  • The pull tab isn't anchored at the bottom of the screen.
  • The magnify glass for navigating to a page to have it auto fill in the URL/IMG field isn't working.

Without any of the debugging tools available on the desktop version of Safari...I'm not sure how to track down these bugs on the iPhone. I guess that's part of what makes the iPhone so exciting.
