The title says it all. I don't own an iPhone yet (currently I have a Motorola Q on Verizon) but i will inevitably be getting one since I'm a PDA and smartphone junkie, and have been since version one of the Apple MessagePad. I was hoping Apple would actually pay a little more homage to the Newton operating system than they have, at least acknowledge it. The only similarities I can see from having played with an iPhone at my local Apple store is that the iPhone uses the same font in the notes application as the Newton did and gives the user the ability to send a note as an email like Newton did.

Anyway, I digress. Back to my question: to those who have an iPhone and sync through a PC with Outlook, does the iPhone have any sync issues and does it sync the contact photos also?

My biggest gripe with the iPhone as a result of my limited testing is the keyboard. I found I was constantly hitting the wrong keys because my thumbs were too big (and they're not that big). It became very frustrating.

Otherwise it seems like a stunning device based on my few minutes appraisal. I want one!

I've added contact photos from the iPhone and they've successfully synced over to my Outlook contacts. I can only assume it would work the same backwards (however I haven't tested it that way)...

As for the keyboard... It takes a little getting used to. I've always had a "regular" cell phone where I'd be pushing the 5 key 3 times to make the letter I was going for, so this takes a little bit to learn. The little popup images of what key you're on help though.

Thanks for that info. How about the Notes and To Do apps within Outlook, do they sync with the iPhone notes and calendar?
