Latest reports suggest Germany based carrier T-Mobile will be the sole network of choice for iPhone across Europe. Other Europe-wide providers such as O2 and Orange were said to have been in the running but unsuccessful in reaching the later stages of contract discussions. "It would be in Apple's best interests to get more than one operator to distribute the phone because the European market is more fragmented than the US," Gartner research head Martin Gutberlet said. T-Mobile does not operate in as many countries as Vodafone, and would be locked out of key European countries such as France, Italy, and Spain. It's interesting to see how this plays out, my network of choice would have to be 3 - i've used their service in the past and couldnt really fault it. However they are a 3G only network so that immediately rules them out.
T-Mobile seems to be the obvious choice given they seem to put more emphasis on music, but the UK i'd really like to see a multi network approach. |

I dont think one sole network will carry the iphone, it would be a much wiser move to support multi networks across Europe.
