In a recent report by USA Today, the iPhone is named as they key player in the battle for dominance in the mobile phone industry.
"I'm glad we have (the iPhone) in our bag, Others will try to match it, but for a period of time, they're going to be playing catch-up." Says Stan Sigman, CEO of wireless at AT&T.
The article also confirms AT&T's 5 year deal with Apple with reports in the past claiming upto a 9 year contract had been signed.
USA Today also touch on Verizon's negoatations with Apple for the iPhone contract and their plans for the future.
