Europe: No Pre-Pay iPhone Plans
In an interview with the Italian press on Monday, Apple's European Boss Pascal Cagni stated that the iPhone will only be available in Europe alongside a cellular contract when it arrives overseas later this year.

Pascal Cagni didn't specify exactly which network carrier would be getting the iPhone but only that when the phone launches in late 2007 it won't be part of a pre-paid service.

I don't think this will disappoint many people, afterall the handset alone will be a fortune to buy outright.
