Apple Announce YouTube For iPhone & Apple TV
Apple have today issued a press release announcing the arrival of YouTube for Apple TV and after its launch the iPhone also.

Quote:
Apple today announced that iPhone users will be able to enjoy YouTube's originally-created content on their iPhones when they begin shipping on June 29. A new Apple-designed application on iPhone will wirelessly stream YouTube's content to iPhone over Wi-Fi or EDGE networks and play it on iPhone's stunning 3.5 inch display.
The iPhone will play the higher quality h.264 video format for youTube videos. The press release claims that h.264 was chosen "to achieve higher video quality and longer battery life on mobile devices".

Some 10,000 YouTube videos have already been re-encoded to the new standards with the remaining clips expected to be complete by fall.

Apple have also updated their iPhone pages with a demo of YouTube on iPhone and a new YouTube icon filling in the 12th spot on the iPhone's application list.

This is a nice little feature, im not sure whether i'll be accessing the internet to view YouTube vids on the iphone though - not unless youtube strike a deal with some major broadcasters for syndicated shows.

That would make iPhone the best thing ever on this planet. Even better than (I can't believe I'm saying this) Volcom!
