2nd-Generation In September For $249?

Rumour Mill: According to Taiwan's DigiTimes Wintek has already received the touch-screen panel orders for the second-gen iPhone. The article reports that test production is already underway with Apple planning to sell their newest model of the iPhone in September for somewhere between $249 and $299.

The article failed to reveal however in just which region this new iPhone will be sold.

Whattttttt!!!!! $249-$299 are you kidding me.. I paid almost $700 for my first generation and the second its going to be so cheap. any spec on the second gen? or any idea what apple its going to include on it? i hope they make it easy for the user to manage the device and allow us to load ringtone. as any app people make for it. GPS will be great and sort of Navigation program on it too.

maybe they talking about the iPhone nano, I believed so,because if is not a lot people be upset to spend too much money, for couple months review and new generation. If the make a second generation the only differences can be a 3G and data transfer at list. Best wishes

Hey guys, haven't posted in a while (this is iNeedIt by the way).

I doubt this is true, Apple NEVER lowers their prices that quickly and that low from the original. Also, any new software features that a 2nd Gen iPhone would have would be offered as an update to 1st Gen users. Thank you OSX!!!
