iPhone 3G For Europe?

Apple have recently confirmed that Europe will get the iPhone in Q4 of 2007, but there is now rumour of 2 iPhone models - 3G and a GSM/EDGE version.

3G is far more widespread across Europe and launching a non-3G iPhone could hinder the international success of the product.
