Pricing for Data Plan

I have a family plan for 9.99 a month. Can i get the iphone 3g and keep that 9.99 a month and not get a data plan so all i will have is the phoneline plus 200 text messages for 5 a month?

if you get the iphone 3g this is what you can do. trust me i know this...what you can do is get the iphone 3g and then you will be required to get a 30 iphone data connect pkg. what you then can do is later that day or the next day call and tell them to change your imei number to any other phone besides a pda phone. then add the media net unlimited pkg for 15 bucks. you will have unl internet you will have to add the msg pkg on sep. the orginal i phone was essentially the same cost. 20 bucks for unl internet and 200 msgs. which that is 15 for internet 5 for msg. all you need is the media net unl add as many msgs as you need. yet they will feed you bullshit about this stuff. you will not have visual voicemail. yet if you want to pay 15 bucks go for it. att will feed you bs about the iphone 3g pkg and the pda connect pkgs you do not need them. the iphone isn't covered under insurance so you do not have to have that imei on the account. so trust me this is what i am doing. welp got the iphone under line on my mothers account and using it on my line with just the media net unlimited. which i used a pda on previously.

you should be required to get that data plan because of the unlimited internet at your disposal.

I think if you get a iphone 3g you would have to sign up for $20 per month plan minimum.
