People never cease to amaze me. Just when I think that all is safe in the world and the superfluous spending that we have seen time and time again has been curtailed, I stumble upon something that makes me worry about the human condition and it’s amazing ability to spend money. The video after the jump pretty much outlines a way to spend way too much on a DIY Christmas card. I thought the purpose of making a card instead of buying a card was to not spend $3.95 on a card, but to spend $.62 and about 30 minutes on a card. Here is the kicker: Not only do you have to put your iPhone in the mail as a gift, but you have to spend $.99 on the freaking Bauble app that displays that neat little motion sensitive ornament! Hey, I guess if you are gifting an iPhone, or iPod touch this Christmas, do it this way, but for the LOVE, please pack it a little better than they do in this video. I have seen some of the things that the USPS, FedEx, and UPS are capable of. I shipped my computer via one of the aforementioned companies long ago, and I was delightfully surprised to open a box containing computer parts, not a computer.
