It’s already been a ridiculously huge smash hit on PSP and DS, now Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars has sneaked its way onto the iTunes App Store when we were all looking the other way this fine Monday.

The GTA: Chinatown Wars app boasts several all-new features that have been developed especially for the iPhone, including Independence Radio, a new station that enables you to create custom iTunes playlists, higher 480 x320 resolution graphics, intuitive Multi-Touch user interface controls, and adjusted difficulty levels, among other things.

Chinatown Wars has already been such a big deal on the other handheld consoles, receiving Editor’s Choice awards from both GameSpot and IGN, and GTA fans are always craving more of their favourite franchise, so I’m sure it’s going to do gangbusters on iPhone/iPod touch.
