iPhone OS 2.0 Supports Embedded YouTube Movies
April 11th, 2008
Thanks a new Mobile Safari YouTube plugin, users running the iPhone operating system 2.0 will see their browser play embedded YouTube content on the page, also allowing users to click-through and view the video in the dedicated YouTube application.
The YouTube content has to have been encoded in the H.264 format required for playback on the iPhone for this method to work however.
