iPhone To Receive ‘Haptic Feedback’ In Future Models

April 28th, 2008

Apple iPhoneIt is being rumored that Apple plan to license vibration technology from Immersion for use in future iPhone models.

The software, dubbed 'haptic feedback', could be used to provide physical feedback when the soft keyboard is used. It's no secret that many iPhone users have expressed concern over the lack of feedback when using the iPhone's touch keys.

Whether this vibration technology makes it's way into the next-gen 3G iPhone remains to be seen, although if Apple have the technology in place already and only require the software license it could be possible.
