O2 Ireland Announced iPhone Release Friday 14th March - No Unlimited Data Plan
February 28th, 2008
O2 Ireland have today announced the release of the iPhone on Friday March 14th. The 16GB model will be available at €499 with the 8GB version retailing at €399.
There will also be three different tariffs available on the network, €45, €65, and €100 per month although surprisingly O2 will NOT be offering an unlimited data plan service. There will instead be a 1GB monthly cap in place on data with any overage resulting in a charge of 2c per MB.
Earlier reports suggested a Summer time release for the iPhone in Ireland, but with the release date falling on St. Patrick’s day weekend it’ll be interesting to see how successful the launch will be.
