Apple’s New iPhone Based Chat To Be Built On Jabber?

A recent discovery found buried deep in the new iPhone firmware suggests that Apple may be planning to use the Jabber/XMPP framework for an upcoming native messaging application.
XMPP is the open source platform developed by the Jabber community for instant messaging. The XMPP support remains locked away in a private framework and is therefore not available to 3rd party SDK developers.
