iPhone news tidbits
October 28th, 2007There are always lots of short news stories out there about the iPhone, so in an effort to save you time in surfing the great wide web I am going to scour the web for you myself and post the more interesting things I find here. Enjoy.
Revirginizing your iPhone:
If you are roughly one of the 250,00 + iPhone users who unlocked your iPhone and then got pwnd by the release of 1.1.1 then there is good news the geniuses over at google code have released a reverginizing tool that should enable your iPhone to once again work with the new software update.
You can find this nice little tool here
Your cash no good at Apple Stores?:
Okay I really understand that both Apple and AT&T have a lot invested into the iPhone, however according to this story, customers going to an Apple store are no longer able to pay in cash.
This is kind of one of those times I really have to wonder if the world has indeed gone insane. I mean other than perhaps protecting themselves against someone paying with fake money, what do they really hope to accomplish with this particular practice? I have gathered that part of their justification is the attempt to control the amount of iPhones per customer and insisting on using a credit card can allow that to be tracked. Yet isn’t this just going a little to far?
