This looks like a fun little game if you’re a soccer fan, or even just a tabletop soccer fan. Magnetic Sports Soccer is based on the old-fashioned table soccer game where the players were mounted on a spring in a shallow pit. The game’s developers, Revo Solutions and Bulkypix, have implemented magnetic forces together with the traditional shallow pit (sounds like a torture device, but never mind), to make for a more spectacular game. They’ve also added the ability to move your goalkeeper and tilt the board.

The actual gameplay involves using your fingers to pass the ball to your team mates and then to hopefully take successful shots at goal. Each player has a magnetic field around them that affects the ball trajectory. There are lots of multiplayer options included in the App, in fact you can challenge players around the world via 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and enter the results on Facebook.

The game certainly seems to have a lot of little tweaks and extras going for it, such as 30 unlockable achievements and the facility to play your iTunes music during gameplay. It would also appear to be a bit of a bargain, as it’s currently available in the iTunes store at a special price of $0.99/£0.59 for two weeks.
