Meebo: the best option for IM
November 21st, 2007There are quite a few options for IMing on the iPhone, but the best experience seems to come with Meebo.
Meebo is a Web 2.0 app that lets you IM within any web browser, on any computer. They jumped into the bandwagon and released an iPhone-specific version of their web app, and I am impressed.
Chats are shown in a relatively simple way, with no fancy “bubble” or anything of that sort. This adds to the fact that the web app can be fast even under slow connections (yes, that would be EDGE).
This is perfect for on-the-go messaging as an affordable alternative to texting, or just for some extra conversation. Point your iPhone browser to meebo.com to access this.
