More on the iPhone in Germany
December 5th, 2007It appears that T-Mobile in Germany is no longer required to sell iPhones unlocked. Vodafone brought up the case at first, stating it was unfair that iPhone users couldn’t use their phones on Vodafone’s network, so it was ruled that T-Mobile must provide unlocked phones (at a large extra) as well as the traditional locked iPhone. Even though T-Mobile does not have to sell unlocked phones, it is unclear whether they will continue to sell them or not.
