iPhone Firmware 1.1.4 Contains Ireland And Austria Network Codes

It looks like the iPhone may soon be making it’s way to Austria and Ireland after their country specific network codes were discovered buried in the new 1.1.4 firmware update.
As previously implied, T-Mobile will cover Austria with O2 being the network for Ireland.
T-mobile’s CEO Hamid Akhavan has previously stated that the iPhone will be coming to Austria by the summer. It may be that Ireland will receive the iPhone at the same time given this latest discovery.

Apple have announced their plans to host an ‘iPhone software development even” on March 6th. The event will take place as a “town hall” meeting in Cupertino, giving Apple the oppurtunity to discuss the state of the iPhone aswell as unveil details of “some exciting new enterprise features”.

Toni Sacconaghi, an analyst from Bernstein Research recently published a transcript from an Apple investor meeting in which the discussion revolved around iPhone unlocking and how to best deal with the issue.
