Possibly in an effort to bring a touch of sunshine, albeit virtual sunshine, to those of us around the world currently shivering their way through winter, I-play has today announced that its gorgeous Galapagos archipelago-based PC puzzle adventure is coming to the iPhone/iPod Touch. I don’t even care how good the gameplay is, I just want to sit and gaze all day at the pretty colours and the beautiful scenery, but with that said, Paradise Quest’s gameplay actually does sound pretty cool. Essentially it’s a Match-3 puzzle game in which players take on the role of renowned ecologist Dr. Evan Finch, with the aim of reviving Isabela island to its former lush glory. Drag and swap objects to make matches on the moving board and use touch and motion controls such as shake, paddle and pinch to summon forth forces of nature such as earthquakes and tornadoes. Players can also compete in multiplayer WiFi and Bluetooth challenges, either in head-to-head battles or in Co-Op mode. You can even play your own iPhone/iPod Touch music library in the game via the Paradisiac Playlist.
It all looks very, very pretty and very tempting indeed! Paradise Quest will be available in the iTunes Store this January.
