I recently downloaded PlaySafe, an application that allows you to focus more on driving then tinkering with iPod controls. This app helps make your listening experience easier and therefore safer while on the road!  It’s easy to use: just open the app and choose what music you want to be on your playlist.  The app allows you to choose your music by artist, song, album, or genre.   The font of the music you choose for the playlist fades to let you know that it has been added.  Once this part is done you are set to go!  The entire screen is one big button that serves all of your music needs.  Tap the screen once to activate the play button, push it again and it will pause the music.  Swipe your finger from one side of the screen to the other and that will go to the previous song or jump forward to the next.  The bottom of your screen shows the control strip with three buttons: tunes, shuffle, and help.  A nice plus is that any album artwork that you have will show on the screen as the songs from that album are playing.  I find this app much more convenient to use while driving then the standard iPod app and you can’t beat the price of only 99 cents.
