The popular iPhone music application Shazam has received a new update bringing some new functionality to the app.
Shazam allows users to identify the name, artist and album of a specific song with the ability to share them with friends or buy them.
The new updated version brings added artist information including artist discographies, biographies, track and album reviews.
The developers of Shazam are also planning to bring song lyric functionality and tagging to the application later next next year.
Shazam is available for downloaded from the Apple app store.

One of the guys that used to work for my father brought this to our Christmas party last night. Amazing technology – was able it identify any song correctly, and managed to ID most of my Dad’s obscure music tracks from the 80’s. Found remixes too.
