The folks at EA sure know how to tease us gamers! Today they’ve got us all excited by releasing five screenshots from the iPhone version of SimCity Deluxe, thereby confirming the game’s existence, and then… that’s it! That’s all. Nothing else. No information, no press release, nothing. In fact if we hadn’t seen the screenshots, we’d be thinking that maybe we imagined the whole thing!

What we can confirm is that SimCity Deluxe is the sequel to last year’s Sim City iPhone debut, and that judging by the screenshots, players will get to build and run real cities such as Tokyo, Cairo, and London, adding a whole new variation to the SimCity theme.

No word as yet on an official release date for the game, although Electricpig.co.uk is saying that it’s scheduled for this summer. No word either as to whether or not there will also be an iPad version of the game. Come on EA, don’t be shy, tell us more!
