Verizon’s answer to the iPhone

December 1st, 2007

No phone can ever be as glorious as the iPhone (that is, until Apple releases something better). Some companies are trying to directly compete with the iPhone, but seem to come up short. A good example of this is the LG Voyager offered by Verizon Wireless.  It features a large touch-screen like the iPhone, but oddly includes a tactile QWERTY pad. It is available for $299, and that’s without onboard memory. A microSD card is required, and an 8GB one of those will set you back over $100.

If you like the iPhone, don’t go for a look-a-like and expect the same thing. Do yourself a favor, and get a real iPhone.
