Apple enthusiasts of New York rejoice!!! The time has finally come to venture into the 24 hour a day Mecca that is the Apple Store on West 14th Street in Manhattan. People were waiting in line for hours to get t-shirts, and to get a chance to behold the awesomeness that is the new store, that kinda looks super minimalistic and contemporary juuuussstttt like every other apple store that I have been in. I mean the windows are nice, but it looks a bit like the building where Tom Hanks’ lived in BIG. The glass translucent staircase is cool, and will be a tool in the transition of many Manhattan pubescent males into manhood, as they loiter under it waiting for that pretty blonde in the plaid skirt to make the voyage upstairs.
In a quick search around the Internet, I stumbled upon something I just had to share… Lorrin Lee has posted a video of the store on 5th Ave that I just had to share with someone. It is set to the Aladdin Theme of “A Whole New World,” the montage of photos and his words in the description have left me virtually speechless. How long do you think before Steve Jobs runs for the Presidency? I know where Lorrin's vote would go.
