From December 28th Walmart will begin to sell the iPhone 3G handsets with recent rumors stating the phones will be available from just $99.

Well according to this internal memo from Walmart the rumors were untrue.The only iPhone handsets available from Walmart on the 28th will be the 8GB ($197) and the 16GB ($297) models - both handsets will require a 2-year contract with AT&T.
