Welcome to the iPhone Europe!
November 9th, 2007
So it finally happened, the iPhone has officially been released in Europe.
While information is currently sparse (most people are still setting up their new iPhones or still in line to purchase them), we will be following developments throughout the day. One thing is certain, the iPhone was wanted by some people as they stood in the rain, stayed in queues for twenty four hours or more.
However there are still many questions that need answering. Will iPhone live up to the hype in Europe despite the fact it uses the slower Edge network instead of the faster G3? Will sales meet expectations (an estimated 10,000 plus units sold in the first twenty four hours) or will they flop.
What will those in Europe think about the phone now that they are able to get it in their hands. Most of all will the hackers who have promised a new jailbreak hack within hours come through or will the evil machinations of Apple stop them short?
I can’t wait to find out.
